Things To Remember, Brentwood
When it comes to your wedding day, it can be difficult to keep on top of all the things you need to do. At The Old Rectory we have put together a list of things to remember when it comes to your big day to ensure you don’t forget anything important.
Our venue is set within 4 acres of beautiful countryside, offering a magical and unique wedding day. You can choose to get married inside the stunning building or outside at our gazebo.
We went to a Christmas party here last night and was absolutely fantastic. The meal was excellent and we had a thoroughly good night.
What Do I Need?
There are a few things to remember when it comes to your big day. Whilst all of these may not apply to your wedding, some examples of things to remember are:
- Hiring a venue
- Table centre pieces
- Flowers and décor flowers
- Bride’s dress
- Bridesmaid dresses
- Accessories and jewellery
- Hair and make-up
- Thank you gifts
This may seem like a lot, but they are not all necessary to make your day special. Working out the expected costs of these and doing some research into companies providing these services is a good idea. This way you can keep track of spending and make decisions on what is necessary.
An outdoor wedding makes for incredible pictures and a peaceful wedding in a beautiful environment. However, with our British weather it is always worth preparing for different situations depending on the time of year you plan to get married. If you plan to get married in the summer months, there are a few things to consider:
Making guests comfortable
Providing shaded spaces
Organising outdoor dining and drinks
Preparing for downpours with an alternative space
Providing spaces to rest
At The Old Rectory we have both an indoors and outdoors space for you to enjoy on your wedding day, providing you with a space no matter what the weather is like.

We knew as soon as we turned into the venue that this would be where we got married and this was confirmed as soon as we stepped foot inside.
